Hey there!

I'm Wendy (she/her/hers)

For a long time, I thought healing happened primarily in the therapy room. However, years of practice have taught me something different.

Therapy matters deeply, but so do friendships, families, communities, workplaces, and the systems we move through every day. The relationships that shape us can wound us, and they can also become places of repair.

That belief has shaped the work I do today.

More about me

I'm a psychologist based in Kenya and the founder of Kindred Collective, a therapy practice and community initiative grounded in the belief that healing doesn't happen in isolation. Alongside clinical work, I write, teach, conduct research, and support therapists in designing practices that are sustainable, ethical, and deeply human.

I'm especially interested in the intersection of psychology, relationships, digital culture, systemic thinking, and community mental health. Whether I'm presenting research, facilitating a workshop, or developing new programs, I'm drawn to questions that help us understand not only individuals, but the contexts that shape them.

Ultimately, I'm interested in helping people simply cope with the world as it is, and more interested in imagining and building better ways for us to live, work, connect, and care for one another.

My Values

Curiosity over certainty

The best questions often matter more than quick answers.

Connection before correction

People change most meaningfully when they feel seen before they feel judged.

Community as care

Healing isn't only an individual pursuit. We heal through relationships, belonging, and shared experience.

Thoughtful systems

Whether in therapy, organizations, or private practice, good systems create more space for human connection, not less.
